Kirsten Hale, CSYT 700 Hours
Kirsten began taking Svaroopa® Yoga classes in 2001. She always wanted to try yoga, but due to nerve damage in her shoulder, the more “athletic” styles of yoga weren’t a good fit. A dear friend told her about Svaroopa® Yoga, and encouraged her to give it a try. After the first class, she knew this was home. Kirsten has been training with Master Yoga since 2002, and has had extensive teaching hours with Swami Nirmalananda, Founder of Svaroopa®. She is continuing with the Advanced studies program thru Master Yoga, and Meditation studies with Svaroopa® Vidya Ashram. She is a CSYT (Certified Svaroopa® Yoga Teacher) with over 700 hours of instruction, including asana (poses), anatomy, and yoga philosophy. Kirsten is also a certified Embodyment® Therapist (Svaroopa® Yoga’s hands on healing technique), Beginning Svaroopa® Meditation Teacher, and certified Vichara Therapist. She is also trained in Breath Awareness, and the subtleties of working with your breath to unravel deep inner tensions.
Kirsten has worked in the corporate HR environment for more than 20 years, and understands the devastating effects of poor health. Wellness is essential now, and this practice does this in every way: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. This is a path of Grace. Kirsten is a compassionate teacher, who understands chronic pain, how to work with it, and overcome it. She has a deep appreciation for the body, and the benefits of this yoga practice. Kirsten is dedicated to helping you find the depth and richness that Svaroopa® offers.

Lisha Reynolds, Certified Svaroopa® Yoga Introductory Teacher
Lisha began her journey as a Svaroopa® yoga student several years ago. She immediately recognized a transformation in herself and knew that this practice had even more to offer than she ever imagined. She chose to deepen her own practice by enrolling in Foundations of Svaroopa® Yoga in 2015. After that experience she earned her Certified Introductory Teacher (CIT) designation and began teaching beginner-level classes immediately. She is continuing her teacher training with Svaroopa® Vidya Ashram which includes extensive instruction in Svaroopa® yoga poses that decompress the spine, simultaneously freeing the body and multiple levels within.
Lisha has a training and development background and has enjoyed teaching adults for more than 20 years in both the corporate and not-for-profit worlds. Additionally, she’s been a lifelong believer in and practitioner of holistic health and wellness. Her mother, who was her earliest role model, was a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner (HTCP) who believed in the power of energetic touch and desired to enhance wellness in herself and the lives of people she cared about. Lisha believes in the healing power of knowing one’s inner Self. She shares this passion with her students and loves seeing how they experience amazing openings, insights, joy and peace when practicing Svaroopa® yoga. Lisha’s style of teaching deeply honors and respects the fact that each student is on their own unique journey of discovery and inner “knowing.”

Kirsten Hale had fun visiting with girls from around the temples during her visit to Shivaratri in Ganespuri, India in 2015.
